Cell phone purses, featuring a berber letter on one side and various geometric shapes on the other, are only 30 DH each.
Small round coin purses, featuring designs on both sides will also be sold for just 30 DH each.
And two-pocket round coin purses will be sold for 40 DH each.
*Please note that some of these photos feature purses that do not yet have zippers attached. All coin purses and cell phone purses will have a zippered closure.

Hey Emily! I'm not sure we've met, but I'm a YD PCV here in Morocco with you. I love these coin purses and would like to buy some as souvenirs for my family back home in the states. Would I be able to buy them from you? Or is there a Marche Maroc coming up soon? I know you're leaving soon so I'm not sure if our paths would cross. What do you think?

Hi Jolie, Nice to meet you! Yes you can buy them from me if you will happen to be in Rabat between September 28-October 3, or if you can swing by Oulmes sometime before we COS. We could also do it by mail I guess, but that would of course cost extra and you'd probably have to send the money via mondot.
These products were meant for the Marche Maroc in Fes, but since that fell through I'm taking them to COS meds instead. Rummer has it that there "should" be another Marche in Kesh in December and the one in Fes will happen in the spring, however, it is not guaranteed that my coop will attend, due to space restrictions, even if there is a Marche.
Oh my word. I just stumbled across your blog -while doing research for a paper about papermaking and bookbinding in the Middle East actually - and I LOVE it. I am a bookbinder and would love to move into fiber arts. ALSO I am moving to Morocco in May. My husband is with the foreign service. How much longer are you going to be in Morocco?
I'd love to just pick your brain about all of the wonderful arts in Morocco, but for now I will just read your blog and maybe we can get in touch later. I'd love to know about the history and the types of art done in Morocco, but also all of the art shows and the like. I won't have a job when we get there, so I'd love to know about any organizations that I could volunteer with. Anyway, your blog is great and I look forward to reading through it in full.

I'm glad that you were able to find the blog. I hope you enjoy the posts about paper making and Moroccan art.
My husband and I will be closing our service (COSing) in November, so unfortunately, we wont be here when you arrive in May. Though we've done a good amount of traveling while in Morocco for the last two years, we've never been closer to Casa than the airport, so I can't tell you what it will be like there, though in general, ALL Moroccan cities are quite different than the rural areas.
As far as volunteer opportunities for Americans who aren't Peace Corps volunteers, I'm not really sure. You might want to try helping out and collaborating with PCVs (peace corps volunteers) on the future Marche Maroc craft fairs. We haven't yet had one in Casablanca, partly because we don't know of an appropriate venue. Since you'd be living there and be "in" with the expat crowd (a large portion of our market), you be in the position to help PCVs navigate that city.
